AFG Celebrates Employees at Annual Awards Event

AFG EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNERS | This year, we recognized employees who had excelled across three categories: Client Appreciation, Sustaining Client Service, and AFG Appreciation. This year’s winners truly went above and beyond in their categories.

Our winners for Client Appreciation were: Philip Brown, Sr. Project Manager, GSA Region 4 PM Program; Brock Hedges, QA Inspector, NIH QA Program; Edouard Martin, CQM, Sr. Cost Estimator, GSA Region 4 PM Program; Brian Mellen, Jr. Fire Protection Engineer, GSA – Multiple Projects; and Frank Padgett, Cost Engineer, NIST Bldg 235 CMS.

In Sustaining Client Service, our 2023 Excellence Award Winners were: Firas Baassiri, QA Inspector; and Madonna Ristaino, LEED AP, QA Inspector for their work on the GSA USAID Phase 3&4 CM Support Contract.

Under the AFG Appreciation category, our winners were: Helena Hassan, Project Engineer, FDIC CM Program; Tom Johnson, Sr., Construction Manager, Multiple GSA & NPS Projects; Aaron Lee, Asst. Project Manager, NIST Bldg 101 Cafeteria Renovation; and Darryl Young, Project Design Manager, GSA Mellon Auditorium Restoration.

Our Spotlight Awards Winners are incredibly helpful to the Marketing and project teams by serving as subject matter experts and AFG’s biggest champions.

For 2023, we awarded the AFG Spotlight Awards to Lorena Alvarez, Assoc. AIA, for her admirable impact as Chair of the Board of Directors with LA.IDEA and Ursula Johnson, CQM for her outstanding service with SAME, CMAA, and numerous other community organizations.
