Since 2013, as Technical Owner’s Representative, AFG has performed design phase, construction phase, commissioning, and post construction services; to include design management, design & constructability reviews, construction surveillance, cost estimating, project documentation, commissioning oversight and project close-out; as well as relocation planning and move management. Projects include:
Interstate Geriatric Care Center:
This $1.2 million renovation project consists of a total demolition and build-out of an existing space and conversion into a new clinic. The scope includes new architectural finishes; HVAC, mechanical and plumbing systems; and IT and audiovisual systems. Upon completion, this 13,700 SF space will consist of patient check-in and waiting room area, 13 exam rooms, 2 team areas, x-ray/radiology room, and admin spaces.
Ridgefield Pediatric Cardiology Clinic:
This is a 2,500 SF renovation of an existing clinic to provide new examination rooms, architectural finishes, doors, and IT systems (cabling, phones, data lines, etc.). The projected construction value is $185,000. Extensive coordination is required for the IT installation between the contractor, vendor and VCU technology group. This is an occupied facility, which must remain in operation throughout the project period.
Hayes Willis General Practice Facility:
This is a $950,000 major renovation to a current clinic, which must remain in operation, during 14 construction phases, each lasting approximately 3 weeks. The total project period is 9 months. The scope includes new exam rooms, doctor’s offices, laboratories, clean rooms, and administrative and staff areas; and will provide new finishes; plumbing; and HVAC and mechanical systems. AFG will be responsible for the planning and management of the swing space moves and relocation back into the new spaces.
